Glam closet reveal
I’m finally revealing my custom closet. It’s been awhile coming; either due to budget or being indecisive. But I’m excited to show you my (mostly) finished closet!
I took the smallest bedroom and turned it into a closet. My goal was to have this room function as a closet and office. The room is separated into 4 and half sections. I guess you ask, how is it a half? Well, there is a small area behind the entry door that will have a full length mirror.
The goal of the closet was to have everything in its place. I work from home and didn’t want clutter around me. So, organization was key. Here are the 3D renderings that California Closets presented.
The first section is for shoes and staging. I wanted to get a little creative in what this area would look like. I used 2 gold etageres to display my shoes. Next to the etageres is a small hanging section where I stage my outfits. I pull looks and put them here so I can play with different looks - adding shoes, accessories, and hand bags.
The second section is where the money was spent. I worked with California Closets on this section. It holds all of my clothes for the current season. I always switch out my clothing, only having the current season in the closet. I have 5 drawers including a jewelry drawer which I absolutely love! I especially love the small section that houses my perfumes.
The third section is the vanity area. I had a desk that I was no longer using then had the idea to use it as a vanity. Now, it’s been some years since I sat down to do my makeup. I believe this adds the glam to the closet.
The forth section is my actual office. I used the reach-in closet for this. This isn’t finished the way I want it. More to come on that. However, it works for now. Which brings me to the half section, which I mentioned at the beginning. I haven’t found a mirror that I like and I think a sconce is needed above the mirror because the room is a little dark.
I feel happy when I’m in this room. I feel productive and inspired. Stay tuned for the final phase of the office and mirror sections.
